Water mounts pressure on Thatta safety bunds



THATTA: Floodwater has been surging constantly in River Indus through Thatta district, mounting massive pressure upon Manarki, Surjani and Sawanda safety embankments while the repair work at safety dykes in Dadu District to fill in breaches is underway on war footing basis, Irrigation Department told media.

SHADADKOT: The floodwater is fast roaring into Shadadkot, deluging over hundred villages, Geo News reported Sunday.

The high tide sustained its pressure, causing the temporary protective embankment constructed over Motorway to seep from different points.
